Computer Science Ed Week

Dec 5-11, 2016

Every student at MOC-Floyd Valley is encouraged to participate in the Hour of Code. While there will be activities in every building, students are encouraged to go beyond and to pursue explorations on their own.

Elementaries: Orange City and Hospers

At each of the elementaries, teachers will attempt to include an hour of computer science activities throughout the week.

Middle School

The high school will host an event at the end of the school day on Tuesday, Dec 6.

Students from the high school will be available to assist students as they dig into computer science activities. A list of selected acitivies are available here. Students are encouraged to stretch themselves by taking on activities that are just beyond their comfort levels.

High School

The high school will host two events: one at the end of the school day on Monday, Dec 5. and one at the end of the day on Wednesday, Dec 7.

Students from the high school will participate in unplugged activities in their TEAMS groups during success.

Students are also encouraged to go beyond these activities on their own. A list of potential explorations are available on the middle school page found here. Students are encouraged to stretch themselves by taking on activities that are just beyond their comfort levels. Those who complete an additional hour of activities are asked to report their work to Mr. Bundt to be included in a drawing for prizes!
